Well week 2 of the Antipodean Beauties Challenge is right up my alley. If you didn’t already know, glitter is my favourite colour. Instinctively I would usually choose glitter nail polish, but I had to cut all my nails short (insert tears here), so I was forced to try something else.
I tried something that I’m usually fairly scared of showing up close: my eyeliner. And I’m actually happy with how it turned out! So I’ve done a Face of the Day to show off a bit of glitter eyeliner.
Apologies for the unannounced hiatus, life really took precedent in the last week and a bit. But I’m back to chat about a *very* well talked about product recently. The Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquers are a pretty popular blogging topic at the moment, so I’m here to give a few thoughts and swatches after giving them a test run
When these were first released in the UK, I was green with envy and ridiculously impatient. So much so I was a little cheeky and bought a few shades off ASOS. But I was lucky enough to be able to try out the rest of the range too, yay for a lip colour rainbow! Also, my OCD senses tingled a little bit having them all to line up 😉
I don’t seem to post enough ‘Face of the Day’ kind of posts. So I thought since I’ve been pretty absent in the last week, I’d share with you a pretty standard go-to look for me. I love bright lips of any kind so often my eyeshadow choices are quite neutral so I can get away with my bright lip choices. And today’s look features one of my favourite lip products!
Yep, lips are the same colour as my top. Not obsessed at all *cough*
Finding a foundation that matches you skin colour can be a nightmare. Hand testing, florescent lights and everything else that comes with trying to test foundations in store make it all that much harder. This is exactly why I’m sucked into claims that a foundation can work to your skin tone. This brought me to Rimmel’s Match Perfection Cream Gel Foundation. Its main claim is that it can adapt to your own skin tone and texture. When I saw these on display I thought there was no chance any of the shades would suit, they all look quite dark! Even the ivory shade looked darker than you would expect from something named ivory, but since I am not THAT pale, I thought this would be the right shade for me.
