These Body Shop goodies arrived in the mail last week, and with Valentines Day right around the corner, I had to let you all know about the range that they have brought out to celebrate. But get in quick, they won’t be around for long!
The Body Shop’s Smoky Poppy range is infused with hand picked poppies from Turkey. They are supposed to provide even more moisture with the oil extracted from them in all the products. This is very different to all the sweet scents I’m used to from The Body Shop, and I was initially unsure if I was going to like it. But the more I opened things, the more I wanted to smell it. It was so enticing! I made everyone around me smell it, and they loved it too! A lot of people don’t like sweet scents, and this range certainly will be something for those people to check out. I have seen it compared to a lighter version of YSL’s Opium fragrance, so if that sort of scent is up your alley, you need to check these out. It really gives off that ‘sexy’ vibe, perfect for Valentines Day.
Before Christmas last year, I was given the opportunity to attend an event held by The Body Shop. Towards the end, we were talking to one of the ladies from the company about a few of their new products, and found out more about them. And they were kind enough to send us home with one of new Body Sorbets to try out! To say I was excited was an understatement. The Body Shop was a brand I had loved when I was younger, but as my horizons in the beauty world expanded, I found I was going there less. However The Body Shop have realised this, and that is exactly why they have been working on lots of new products (and dropped many of their prices!), this being one of them.
I accumulated a fair amount of empties towards the end of 2014, and I need to start documenting them more. I actually really enjoy doing this, because I can go back and remind myself of the things I need to repurchase 😛 So since I have a bit of a backlog, I’m splitting up my first empties post for this year into two parts. And today’s will be skincare and body products, and next will be hair and make up. And disclaimer, this is over a pretty decent period of time, I don’y chance my skincare up THAT much!
So with winter here, along with dry ducted heating, dusty workplaces and me slowly working through renovating the rest of the house; my hands don’t particularly like me much. They get dry and itchy way too fast. But this little gem is my favourite way to combat all of it. Side note: the weather in Melbourne is terrible at the moment, terrible photo taking lighting!
