Mani Monday: OPI Kermit Me To Speak

So, I haven’t painted my nails in AGES (renovating ruins your motivation by having your mani ruined instantly, guys). So I was pretty excited for this little beauty to land on my doorstep. If you weren’t aware, OPI released a line to coincide with the release of the first Muppets movie, and they have done it again this time around for Muppets: Most Wanted, and there are some gorgeous shades!

Look at the glitters!!

And today I want to show you the most interesting (in my opinion) of the set: Kermit Me To Speak.

Review: Redken Curvaceous Shampoo and Conditioner

If you’re like me, you are skeptical about particular claims that products give. I’m actually surprised I gave this duo a go, as I usually make a bee line to hydrating and repairing hair products. But, this day I bought these I was at a loss as to what to choose (blame the amount of choice there!), and since I have curly hair, decided to give these a go. I didn’t expect a lot from this to be completely honest. I thought it was either going to be far too heavy for my hair or dry it out.

However, I was more than pleasantly surprised. When I let my hair dry naturally, I found the frizz I’d usually encounter was reduced significantly. This worked best when I combed the conditioner through my hair with a wide tooth comb in the shower, as that led to little to no combing afterwards. During the time I used this. I wore my hair out naturally more than I had before. And if you have curly hair, you know what a feat this actually is.

Review: This Works Clean Skin Gentle Cleanser

It’s confession time. I have a problem. I can’t stick to one cleanser. Even when I find one I like (read: the last two cleanser reviews I have posted) I still venture out into the big old world of untried brands. It’s bitten me on the bum before, but with this product, This Works’ Clean Skin Gentle Cleanser, I’m was torn.

Now for my skin, it’s been incredible. It has combat all my dryness and didn’t break me out. The rosehip oil in this has done wonders. It smells lovely and my boyfriend loves it (bonus points). It really is a fantastic cleanser.

Current Beauty Favourites (April 2014)

I always love reading people’s favourites posts, even if it is the biggest enabler to me buying new things. But I don’t ever feel like I change things up enough to warrant posting it monthly. So I have decided to do them when I think I have enough things I really love. So they may be monthly, they may be further apart! Anyway, lets get into some sweet favourites!

I’m Back! But Where Have I Been?!

Well, doesn’t time fly! I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since I sat down to write a post, and I feel bad for leaving you all in the lurch. March was most certainly a manic month for me and getting the opportunity to give some quality time to my writing just never came up. It was nice to have a little break from it all, but time makes the heart grow fonder, right? ;) It did for me at least! I have so many exciting things to share that I thought this would be the perfect way to begin blogging again. Just a little catch up, you and me! So grab a coffee and lets chat!

So March became the month that resulted in a number of exciting things for me!

  • My birthday! Yep, on the 10th of March I hit the big 2-5. I love that my birthday always falls around the Labour Day holiday (in Vic), so I get a long weekend of fun. I didn’t plan to do much, just be out and about and enjoy the good weather. I also scored my free birthday Boost Juice and churros, because , everything tastes better when it’s free. :P My birthday wish was to get a new laptop, so I was kindly given money to put my very own MACBOOK on lay-by! Yep, I’m converting to the silver side! I can’t wait to pay it off and start playing with it.
Birthday churros!
