Well, doesn’t time fly! I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since I sat down to write a post, and I feel bad for leaving you all in the lurch. March was most certainly a manic month for me and getting the opportunity to give some quality time to my writing just never came up. It was nice to have a little break from it all, but time makes the heart grow fonder, right? 😉 It did for me at least! I have so many exciting things to share that I thought this would be the perfect way to begin blogging again. Just a little catch up, you and me! So grab a coffee and lets chat!
So March became the month that resulted in a number of exciting things for me!
- My birthday! Yep, on the 10th of March I hit the big 2-5. I love that my birthday always falls around the Labour Day holiday (in Vic), so I get a long weekend of fun. I didn’t plan to do much, just be out and about and enjoy the good weather. I also scored my free birthday Boost Juice and churros, because , everything tastes better when it’s free. 😛 My birthday wish was to get a new laptop, so I was kindly given money to put my very own MACBOOK on lay-by! Yep, I’m converting to the silver side! I can’t wait to pay it off and start playing with it.
- We’re building! I’m so excited that my partner and I are planning on building a brand new house. So this month has involved numerous trips to display homes, countless meetings and many a signature, with still many more to go! Building won’t commence until the second half of the year, but if the first three months of the year are anything to go by, that will come up very quickly. So this now means I’m shopping for whitegoods and furniture as opposed to lipstick and blush. 😉 This means a lot less beauty hauls, but if you would like to see house hauls in the future, be sure to let me know! Which means I’m not only renovating my parents house (where I currently live), but I’m planning my own house from the bottom up. I think I need more hours in the day!
- I went backstage at VAMFF! Now this was something I was so excited to be a part of. The lovely girls at Loreal Professionel invited me to see the ins and outs of the hair and beauty at the Melbourne Fashion Festival. I got the chance to see the looks of both the Shop ’til You Drop and Harper’s Bazzar shows. The looks were gorgeous, and I want to recreate one of them for you, as it was so doable!
- I went to Salon Melbourne! This was my first year attending and it was so much fun. I sat in on a make up tips class with Rae Morris, saw so many gorgeous colours and was very restrained in my purchases. A couple of things from Lime Crime, Gorgeous Cosmetics and ORLY made me a happy little camper. I chose to go on the Monday, which appeared to be a good choice, as it wasn’t quite as busy as what I had heard the Sunday was. I caught up with a couple of people and overall had a great day.
So what’s on the cards for the future?
I’m glad you asked! I have had this in the works for a while, but in the next month-ish, I will be launcing a whole brand new WEBSITE! I love what I have here, but I have found that I want to branch out of just beauty posts (but they will still be the majority). Also, I have always disliked how long my name is! So I will soon be relaunching with a new name and look. My partner is an angel for putting up with my indecision and picky-ness when it has come to him designing my new site (and also saving me a crap load of money!). However, this is now our second time at doing this so we are both a little better at it (well, my indecision probably isnt :P), and this site will be exciting so keep your eyes peeled for updates!
And on that note, it means I’m lookg to you guys as to what else you want to see. Beauty will be given, but what kind of house related things would you like to see? Should I continue with the health related posts I have done in the past? I’m excited to branch out, but I want to give you what you want to read! I have a long list of posts I want to write, so be prepared!
Anyway, that is a lot of news for you all so I will leave it at that, but be sure to follow me on Twitter, Facebook, Bloglovin or your RSS feed to keep up to date!
