The aim of Maybelline’s Fit Me range is to create a natural finish, while still letting skin breathe. This range also gives everyone the ability to match the products in their whole foundation routine fairly easily. Today I’m going to share with you my most loved product from this range, the pressed powder.
I purchased this for the first time quite a while ago and found that picking a colour that matched me was quite easy. They have a lot of shade options for those who want to match for they cool or warm tones, but sadly it doesn’t extend into darker shades. You can just as easily pick your corresponding foundation and concealer, as they provide suitable matches once you have worked out one product that matches to you. I ended up purchasing the corresponding concealer to my powder shade, and it really is a perfect colour for me.
The compact is a decent size, and there is a section that opens up in the bottom with a mirror and the stock standard powder puff you get with most powder foundations. Personally, I use my kabuki brush to dust it over my face.
Now on to the product itself. IT IS GREAT. I can’t say enough good things about this powder. I can put it over a full coverage foundation or a tinted concealer and it just makes me look almost flawless. My other favourite is that it looks amazing in photos. My worst fear is having my photo taken and looking like one of those celebrities that have put too much finishing powder on (Cue White Chicks reference). This is the complete opposite. There is the smallest amount of shimmer mixed in, but no where to the point of making you the disco ball at the party. I swore that I wouldn’t buy any more face powders until I had used up more of mine, but I *couldn’t* be without this. The moment I was out, I was straight back into the shops making sure I had this in my make up bag, ready for anything. Seriously, I will
cry, throw a hissy fit, be awfully disappointed if this ever gets discontinued, because it really is a staple in my make up routine.
Have you tried anything from Maybelline’s Fit Me range? Is there any product you can’t live without even when you have dozens of others?
