WELL. It’s nice to see you all back again, well, me more precisely. September has been a crazy busy month and the haul I’m about to show you is part of the reason why. Over the weekend of the 21st-22nd of September, IMATS was held in Sydney. I was so excited to go, not only to shop, but to see many of my friends again. But on to what today’s post is about: hauling. I ended up getting what I wanted plus a couple of things I wanted but didn’t realise would be there, bonus! I also made a couple of sneaky purchases during my weekend in Sydney I will share with you too.
Last year was my first IMATS experience and I was so overwhelmed with the brush selection I only picked up two things from Royal & Langnickel, and I regretted it almost instantly when I got home. So this year I went in with (slightly) more planning and a general idea of what I needed to add to my collection. I ended up picking up a new blush brush (BC110) and ‘eye fluff’ brush (C465) from their S.I.L.K Pro line, along with a flat top buffing brush (BX-20) and a metal brow/lash comb (BX-140) from their Revolution line. I also did a quick stop at Crown Brushes and picked up two blending brushes (domed and pointed) for concealer. Even though I’m happy with those I’m sure I’ll come across something else I didn’t get!
Once again, this time around I made up for a couple of things I didn’t purchase last year. Namely, the Naked cosmetics pigment stacks. Last year I didn’t notice the stand until late in the day and only got the chance to grab one of the stacks I was after. This time I was quite reserved and almost didn’t get anything, but this is one stand where the value is phenomenal, so I grabbed the Mother Nature and Naturally Nude collection stacks. I couldn’t go past LA Splash’s stand again and restrained myself to one liquid liner in Teal Mania. Then I had a couple of impulse purchases: OCC Lip Tar Stained Gloss in New Wave, Sugarpill Chromalust in Tiara, and Duo Eyelash Adhesive in dark tone (which was $5, can’t deny that kind of value!).
Misc. IMATS goodies
Finally at IMATS, I purchased a new bottle of Bioderma and a Beauty Blender. I was on my last drops of Bioderma coming to Sydney and couldn’t find my Beauty Blender before leaving (I’m convinced my dogs have eaten it!), so these were bought because I would buy them once I got home anyway, so why not take the cheaper price now? Logic rules. Also, apologies for the dirty Beauty Blender. I couldn’t even finish the weekend without using it.
Other Sydney Hauling
Since I was in Sydney for the entire weekend, there was bound to be a little shopping. I picked up the Aesop Parsley Seed mask after hearing my friend Dustyn rave about it. She wasn’t wrong. It is awesome. You will see a review soon! Finally any trip to the airport for me REQUIRES a stop at Victoria’s Secret. Mainly for the comfy underwear, but I had the time to browse the scents. I fell in love with Mango Temptation and got a hand and body cream as well as a body spray. And to round it out I also picked a body lotion in Secret Charm. So now since I smell like a Victoria’s Secret model, I’ll look like one, right?
Well that’s it! I’d love to know what things you got if you went to IMATS this year. Also if you have tried anything I got, tell me what you think of them!
