Review: A’kin Hand, Nail and Cuticle Cream

So with winter here, along with dry ducted heating, dusty workplaces and me slowly working through renovating the rest of the house; my hands don’t particularly like me much. They get dry and itchy way too fast. But this little gem is my favourite way to combat all of it. Side note: the weather in Melbourne is terrible at the moment, terrible photo taking lighting!

The first thing you notice about A’kin’s Hand, Nail and Cuticle Cream is the SMELL. All that lavender, geranium and jojoba make this positively delicious. So much so after using this, you’re likely to see me sitting with my hands over my nose and mouth taking in all that scent-y goodness. For me, it is such a calming scent and I wish it did hang around longer as it starts to fade quite quickly. But that has its own benefit, as this cream absorbs ridiculously quickly. With my super analytical skills, I timed that about at the 1.5-2 minute mark it was properly absorbed, leaving me to do things again without the worry of leaving greasy hand marks everywhere.

I also love that the packaging comes in such an easy squeezable tube, as it makes getting what is a quite thick cream, out with ease.

This was the first product I tried from the A’kin range, when I got a sample of this cream in one of my very first beauty boxes. And it was something that I fell in love with so quickly I had to go out and get the full size, just so I could keep the smaller one in my handbag. This leaves my hands feeling so soft, and there are times where I will forget to put this on, but when I go back, I wonder why I ever left.

You can find this at places like Priceline and Chemist Warehouse for $17.95 AUD. You can also order from the Purist Company Website directly.

What’s your favourite hand cream at the moment?

xx

I have the Unscented Intensive Hand, Nail and Cuticle Treatment, it’s really good! Would be good if it smelled pretty though :)
