Tag: Why do I wear make up?

This little tag post comes to you thanks to Sophie at Don’t Stop Buying. And hopefully you will learn a little more about me and love of make up! And sorry for the lack of posts recently (which includes no February empties!), but I shall show you why in a upcoming post 😉

1. When did you begin loving make up?

When I was much younger, I really loved make up. I loved going through my mum’s stash and having a little play, and even had quite a stash of nail polishes myself. In my very early in my teens I went through a phase thinking I was ‘over it’ and even threw out my nail polishes and vowed I would only every use lipgloss, never lipstick! But as I reached the back end of high school I started looking more into what I could actually do with make up. Then I found Youtube and beauty blogs, from there I haven’t really looked back.

2. How do you feel without make up?

While I love wearing make up, being without it doesn’t phase me. I think make up should be there to enhance your features, not hide them, and being comfortable in your own skin (literally!) really helps you appreciate make up when you wear it. We all have bad days with dark circles and breakouts, but those are the days where make up is your best friend 😉

3. What do you like about make up?

So much! Or I wouldn’t be here writing about it so often. The colours, the looks and how every single person can make something amazingly different out of the same thing. There are so many options out there that inspiration lies at every turn, or click of the mouse, in this day and age. And from the previous question, it can add confidence, sexiness and just make you feel down right pretty when you wouldn’t feel so otherwise. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I also love that make up is what has found me some lovely people I now consider my friends. Sharing your love for something with other people who feel the same is great!

4. List three ‘Holy Grail’ items.

Wow, this one was actually tough, but here we go!

ANY Rimmel pencil eyeliner– I have been loyal to Rimmel eyeliners ever since I was in high school, even when they have brought out new products, they have always lived up to my expectations. And for the price, you really can’t go wrong.

OCC Lip Tars– These little beauties are amazing. The colour pay off, lasting power and the fact you can mix them to make almost any colour you want makes them a winner for me.

Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadows- These are my go to, need my eye look done in two minutes product. The blend nicely, and they are bringing out more colours very soon, which I couldn’t be more happy about.

Well that’s it for this tag, I’m tagging anyone who would like to give this a go, I would love to see your answers, so link them below, or just answer in the comments!

I’ve never tried any of Benefit’s shadows, might give that a try seeing that my eyeshadows sometimes end up in my crease!!

I love them, so many neutral options too! And I believe they are bringing new shades into the collection soon as well 😀
