Review: Shu Uemura Art of Hair Anti-Dandruff Soothing Cleanser

Now, dandruff isn’t the most attractive thing to talk about. In fact, I would much prefer I didn’t need to. But this snowstorm on my head is a reoccurring problem for me, and I’m sure many others, particularly with the weather changing. But in the past we have often only been limited to weird smelling medicated shampoos (and sometimes, you do need it!). But I dislike using products like that on a regular basis, particularly on colour treated hair. And now, higher end brands are coming out with their own anti-dandruff treatments, and I have one to share with you today.

Shu Uemura are very well known for their cleansing oils, which I am sadly yet to try, but it is on my to do list! But the best part is they have tons of knowledge on how they work. So they decided to apply to concept to a new range of shampoos. I got the chance to try the Anti Dandruff Soothing Cleansing Shampoo, and jumped at the chance. The aim is to cleanse the scalp of dandruff, by using Shiso Extract, a Japanese plant popular for its anti-inflammatory properties. It is also supposed to prevent the reappearance of new flakes. All these things sounded like music to my ears (or scalp?!), and I was thoroughly excited to give this a go.

Shu Uemura

It’s a BIG bottle. This is 3 months of use 1-2 times a week!
