The Little Things in Life

So, sometimes we (myself included!) get caught up in the negativity of what’s going on around us, and forget that some of the smallest things in life can instantly change our mood. So for this Monday morning, I’m sharing with you a list of things, that while small, can put a smile on my dial :)
  • The smell of oncoming rain
  • A really pretty sunset (or sunrise if you’re an early bird hehe)
  • A snuggly hug
  • A joke SO bad, that it’s SO funny
  • Finally getting something right you’ve been trying to master for ages
  • That sight/smell/sound that takes you back to a great time

Review: Neutrogena Face Wipes

I don’t cal lmany things that I own holy grail items (I might be a little picky), but I’m pretty sure I can safely say that for me, these face wipes are HG status. I couldn’t even tell you how many packs I have gone through I have been using it for that long!

You can see what happens to the old packs here!

My one and only issue with these guys is the packaging. I really wish it had the resealable plastic lid like the others I have tried (that is actually is the reason why I tried them). I find that getting close to the end of the pack, the seal bends, loses its stick and if you’re not careful, the last few will dry out. Not travel friendly. But in saying that, I still prefer these so much more to anything else I’ve tried and I’m willing to look past the packaging, but I’m all for giving a sneaky hint to change it, right? 😉

NOTD: piCture pOlish Candy

If it isn’t already obvious, I love pink, it’s my weakness. In the back of my head I can see my boyfriend looking at my polishes and saying “but they all look the same?”- NO. However, this pink polish has fast become one of my favourites!

I introduce to you piCture pOlish Candy.

Something about this colour screams the perfect pink to me. Not too pale, not too bright. It doesn’t lean too cool or warm against my skin tone. And as for the name, to me it really is a candy pink. Read More »

Bellabox: October 2012

Wow, another month rolls around, and another month of subscription boxes. This month marks Bellabox’s first birthday! I don’t know if I’d missed anything, but I don’t think they had announced that too much on Facebook or Twitter. But I can tell you this was a pretty good birthday box! This months theme was a “pretty in pink party” with $1 from each box sale going towards the Look Good…Feel Better foundation, a lovely gesture. Also with the pink theme, all the products followed a pink theme. Keep reading to see what I received this month.

Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Instant Action Lift Treatment
A skin firmer that you can apparently even use over make up! I’m not convinced about that, but will give it a go anyway!

Review: L’oreal Paris Perfect Clean Foaming Cream + cleanPod

My skin is dry at the best of times, and with my last choice in cleanser specifically saying it was not suitable for dry and sensitive skin (my bad!), I have been on the hunt for a cleanser that’s right for me. I saw L’oreal’s Perfect Clean foaming cream cleanser sitting on the supermarket shelf and decided I would give it a go. I tend to dislike cream cleansers because they don’t foam, so for me, this was a happy medium!

Another thing I’m picky with is scents, and for quite a while, this one didn’t sit well wit me. It fell under that ‘creamy’ scent and I actually thought this was going to be a deal breaker at first. I am really glad I took a few extra weeks to write this review as I’m much more used to this scent now, although still not high on my favourites scent wise, it doesn’t bother me now.
