Another month, another empties post! Rather than ramble, I’ll just dive right in! In the spirit of the Olympics, each product will receive a medal for its performance. On your marks, get set, GO!
Aveeno Daily Moisturising Body Wash
This body wash is a real winner for me. The oatmeal that they use and the fact that it is mostly unscented, makes my eczema prone skin very happy. Have actually gone though a bottle and half throughout the month. Have been using for over 6 months now, it is a staple in my shower. Already repurchased.
Muk ‘Deep Muk’ 1 Minute Ultra Soft Treatment
I have written about how much I love this treatment here. Repurchased and still loving it.
Neutrogena Make Up Remover Cleansing Towlettes
Another favourite of mine, as well as another product I’ve happily repurchased numerous times. I am planning to review these soon.
MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium
Such an awesome powder to set my foundation with, as well as the perfect colour to match my complexion. Will repurchase once I have used up a few more of my setting powders lying around!
Garnier Fructis Anti Dandruff Shampoo with Fall Fight
I have explained the reasons why I really like this shampoo here. While it certainly stopped the excessive fall out I was having, it did appear to taper off, and for me, wasn’t an effective dandruff controlling shampoo. That certainly won’t stop me buying this in the future. I still love it and might just need to wait until my scalp is a little less dry.
Batiste Dry Shampoo in Blush
I’ve mentioned this before, I love Batiste dry shampoos, but I really dislike this scent. And a bonus being that even though I have quite dark brown hair, I don’t seem to have this issue with white casting on my hair when using a white coloured dry shampoo. Have repurchased other Batiste scents since finishing this.
Garnier Fructis Smoothing Milk
This was something I had lying around and just wanted to use up. Not a terrible leave in conditioner/protectant, but I didn’t feel like it had any real wow factor for me. Lovely scent as all Garnier products have. I’m not sure if this exact product is still sold but I’d be happy to look at more Garnier hair products in the future.
Paul Mitchell ‘Super Strong’ Daily Shampoo and Conditioner
This pair was an utter fail for me. When I read strength, I fell like it should be making my hair feel like I could be Rapunzel and have my price climb up my hair. I’m pretty sure my prince would have snapped my hair in half trying to climb after using this. I’m not sure if it was because my hair is dry normally, but my hair was left feeling brittle and it knotted really easily. I even felt as I washed out the conditioner, that my hair was being stripped of the small amount of oils it still had. I like the smell of the shampoo which is why it made me sad and let me down after using the Skinny Serum previously and loving that. It was a struggle to get to the end of these bottles and will not repurchase these.
Medal: DNF- Possibly still running.
How did your empties perform this month?
Do you use up a product you really don’t like? Or do you turf it/give it away?
