June Empties!

Since this is my first empties post I may as well begin with a bang. I have never felt that what I have used up over a month has really ever made a blog worthy post. But boy oh boy do I have and epic (yes, I did say epic) list for you for the month of June. So let’s get into it!

Lush Ocean Salt Scrub

This was WAY to harsh to use on my face, the salt chunks in it are just that, chunks. I liked using it on my body but found a lot of wastage- so many of the salt chunk just get washed off straight away. And considering the price vs the size of the tub + wastage, it’s not worth a repurchase. Beauty math right there people.

L’Oreal Vitamino Color Masque
Firstly, I adore the scent of the entire Vitamino Color Range. This is supposed to extend the life of your colour, which it did appear to do. My chocolate brown dye job took longer to fade to its usual reddy tone. However, it is not an overly hydrating mask if you have damaged hair. Personally, it doesn’t do a while lot more in that department than most conditioners do. Would I repurchase? No, only because I prefer treatments to soften/rehydrate my hair rather than extend the colour life. If I want to do that, I’ll buy a colour protecting shampoo and conditioner.
Sally Hansen Pre Tan Exfoliator
Once I ran out of the Lush salt scrub, I reached into my stash to start using up other scrubs, particularly with winter drying my skin out like no one’s business, exfoliating is high on my to do list in the shower. This is where this product comes in. I have had this for so many years I don’t even know if it’s sold any more. It is marketed as a pre tan exfoliator. It is VERY fine and you need to use a pretty heavy hand to get any exfoliating feel from it. Just another one of those ‘need to use up’ items.
Rimmel Blush in Pink Rose

Now, it’s not every day you see a blush come up in an empties post. This is probably one of the reasons why I wanted to make this post. To show everyone DREAMS DO COME TRUE, you CAN finish that blush you hit pan on. I have had this blush since year 12 (just over 5 years ago) and for a long time, it was the only one I owned. As my collection grew, this got used less but it was always something I came back to. The colour was so natural and gave me the perfect flush that I wanted out of an everyday blush. Even when this broke its lid, started to break after I hit pan, I continued on my way and wound up with an empty pan. I would repurchase this blush in a heartbeat, if I didn’t own so many more blushes. I almost feel as if the packaging needs a burial, it’s been a part of me for so long!

Joico K-Pak Leave in Protector
This was a total bust and something I wanted to use up. Its a foam and I just found it did nothing for my hair. Not the only product in this line I’ve disliked but I’ll leave that for another post. Will not repurchase.

Matrix Biolage Anti-Dandruff Shampoo
I suffer from varying severities of dandruff and I love using this when it’s not so bad. Its good at clearing up mild cases, and I love that it is colour safe, not may dandruff shampoos are. Will repurchase this again when I feel my dandruff is getting a little out of hand.

OP Therapy Summer Glow Sea Salt Scrub
Out of the exfoliants I have used, this was a happy medium scrub wise, I felt like it did a really good job. But it smelt HORRIBLE. Will not repurchase.

Neutrogenta Deep Clean Invigorating Foaming Scrub
Amazing scrub, and definitely invigorating, I love the way this makes my skin fee and it wasn’t too harsh for my dry skin. Fell to the wayside when I got my Clarisonic, but the boyfriend helped use it up (he liked it too!). What a good fella he is. Won’t be repurchasing because the Clarisonic does what this does with a normal cleanser.

Pantene Pro-V Aqua Light Conditioner
Love. Not too heave but super moisturising. Repurchase for sure!

Imperial Leather Foamburst Foaming Shower Gel
Smelled nice and I’m a sucker for foamy things. Probably wont repurchase though, the scent range is a but limited and although I liked the scent, it is not something I think I could use continuously.

Natio Pressed Powder
Picked up on a whim (see me running frantically in a chemist on the way to a dinner that had no air conditioning in the middle of summer), and what a pick it was. The shade I chose (Bisque) matched me perfectly and I love the finish this leaves on my skin. Will certainly be repurchasing once I have used a few more pressed powders up!

DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom Perfume
LOVE this scent, this is my second bottle, and the first was a might 100ml. Perfect day scent, not to heavy. Although not on my current list of perfumes I want to get, I’m sure this will return to my collection some time in the future!

Phew! That was a big moth for me, and congrats if you made it to the end of the post!

Are there certain products you take particular pride in using up?
xx

Whoa! What a great empties post! Think you’ve inspired me but I have nowhere near this many! You know I’ve never used Natio except for this polish.. and that was pretty poor. Gosh I’ve always wanted a DKNY scent, but there are so many now – which ONE?! I love the simple fruity scents!

I’ve heard mixed things about the Natio powder, but I loved it! And I know exactly what you mean with the DKNY scents, it’s so hard to decide, but I like this one the most for the way it dried on me, mmmm so good! hehe Pretty good staying power for a light scent too! :)
