Review: Kerastase Nectar Thermique

If you have hair like mine you know how hard it is to keep under control. Thick, somewhere between wavy and curly AND colour treated, the process of brushing you hair while dry leaves you looking like you should be driving a DeLorean. So when you find something amazing (Read: HG worthy), you’ll do anything to keep it in your life.

Enter Kerastase Nectar Thermique.

And you know what? I does it all, and then some.I first received this in multiple beauty subscription boxes, that I ended up with about 6 sample sachets in total. But let me tell you, from the first one, I knew I was hooked! Its selling point is that the nutrients become active when heat is applied, providing moisture to severely dry hair. So rather than most heat protectors doing just that, protecting your hair from the heat, this actually works its magic while the heat is applied. It also claims to make your hair look and feel softer, as well as making it easier to untangle.

I used to dread blow drying my hair. The time and pain was never worth it for a still fuzzy result. But this changed my mind completely. With a small 5c piece amount applied to my hair all over, but focussing on the ends, this dramatically changed my blow drying experience. My hair dried both smooth and quickly, leaving me with gorgeous full waves (with a little help from a round brush) in much less time that I would have ever done before. It’s even made me ditch the straightener more often, purely because I no longer need it to sleek out my hair, and the blow drying volume is sexy! Time saving win!

Look at those waves!

Look at those waves!

If you want to try this for yourself you can go here to find a local salon that stocks the Kerastase range. This retails at $39.50 but in my opinion, is oh so worth it!If I’m feeling my hair is particularly dry, when I’m working through the sections I’ll add a little more to the ends, but a little of this stuff goes a long, long way. One sample sachet lasts me about 3-4 uses so they took me quite a while to get through. But I most certainly took the (expensive) plunge and got this full size, I just honestly can’t be without this any more, and every cent is worth it. This stuff makes me WANT to blow dry my hair, and with hair like mine, that screams miracle product in my books.

Have you tried anything from Kerastase, any recommendations for other things I should try out?
xx

Great review! I have the sample sachets from the boxes as well but am yet to use them, I don’t heat style my hair too often but this sounds like a great blow dry companion. I might crack out a sample sachet! x

I have the shampoo and masque from this range and really like them. Think I’ll have to try this one too, once I whittle down my serum/protecting spray hoard.

That’s exactly why I finally caved and bought this, I’ve used up about 3 of my half used protectors and conditioners, my hair deserved a treat!

I love this stuff! I also use the masque and shampoo from this range, they work a treat on taming my wild hair! I went back to using drugstore shanmpoo and conditioner (organix coconut range as i heard good reviews of it) just not the same at all. Kerastase gets the job done!

Oh I really need to give the rest of the line a go! Not a fan of the organix range either, Kerastase is certainly a winner!
