I’ll take any chance I can get to theme-up my nails, and Christmas is really no exception. The choices are endless when choosing something to wear at Christmas time. And clearly, I had to incorporate GLITTER!
The base is OPI DS Reflection and the glitter is NYX Grand Royal. I love this pair so much I wore it for a good week. Apologies for the dinky short pointer nail. I was trying to go all ‘masterchef’ and chop onions quickly, but I sliced a chunk out of my nail instead and had to file it back. Oops.
Do you dress up you nails for the holidays? What is your favourite Christmas mani?
As we finally start to get some warmer weather (Melbourne, you are a fickle being), everyone reaches for things to cool them down. And If you are like me, icy poles and frozen drinks are pretty high on the list of things to eat and drink. As much as I love these, they are often so full of sugar my teeth hurt just thinking about them. So I am really glad to have found a healthier alternative that works as both an icy treat and a drink mixer!
Presenting, Smooze Fruit Ices!
Now these little sachet looking things are filled with coconut, along with another fruit. They currently come in four flavours: coconut, coconut and pineapple, coconut and mango and coconut and pink guava.
For this month, the into will be very short and sweet, as this box is too good not to get straight into. The theme for this month’s box was a ‘Beauty-ful Christmas’ with items all for helping us get through the Christmas and new year season.
Allegra Rhodes Hand and Nail Cream- This cream (in red lychee) smells AMAZING. If it is effective, I will be considering purchasing this when I have used up my other hand creams.
John Frieda Frizz Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Creme- your ‘save my party hair from frizz’ friend. I have liked a few items from the Frizz Ease range, but haven’t tried this before.
EmerginC Fruit Cleanser and Phytocell Cream- I’m still searching for a holy grail cleanser so will give this a go, and to be honest, the name ‘fruit cleanser’ has sucked me in. I LOVE fruit.
Compeed- A blister protector. And if you are like me, who buys all pretty new shoes for Christmas parties and never wears them in, this will be handy in your purse. It may even come in handy wearing in my new work shoes!
A little bit of a smaller list of empties this month, but none the less, here they are!
Bumble and Bumble Quenching Masque- Such a fail for me, was so disappointed considering the price point, full review coming. Not repurchasing. Toni and Guy Nourish Conditioner- Love this conditioner, but my hairdresser said I was getting a build up on my hair from it. Would repurchase if needed to, but I’m currently using something to repair my hair a bit more after the bleaching.
The lovely Sophie from Born to Buy tagged me in this post (and you can check out her post here), so here are my confessions- cue the Usher music…
1. How many hours a week do you spend planning/writing/uploading posts?
It depends on the kind of post I’m writing. Some can take half an hour, while ones that require photos and extra editing can take longer. Also, I tend to work in bursts because I’m easily distracted I work on multiple ideas at the same time.
2. Are you a spender or a saver?
I think I sit somewhere in the middle of the two. I’m quite partial to a impulse buy when I want, but I also know how to put aside money for when I do need it. I wasn’t like this for a long time, but I am learning.
3. When is it easiest for you to write your posts?
As much as I love to write, I can’t force it when I’m not feeling it (even this post has taken a couple of sessions to write). I can type out two or three posts in one sitting and not feel like doing anything for the next week. It’s not a time or place thing for me, I choose to strike while the iron is hot!
